Ah, Jeff Lerner, he’s coming out with a book so you might have noticed him working the podcast circuit the last little while (and building his Instagram following. The first reaction video I ever did with him as a subject is in my top ten most watched videos of all time, so let’s try this again.
The first Jeff Lerner video I did is here:
If you don’t watch that video and see his *weird* Instagram stats, you can just periodically check his Instagram and see what’s up (numbers change A LOT depending on when you look at it): https://www.instagram.com/jefflernerofficial/
Today, we’re talking about what Jeff sees as the number one marketing rule, which is pretty basic (expected). What is gross is that he exploits the emotional vulnerabilities of his customer avatar. I just can’t believe he said the quiet part out loud here.
OG video we are reacting to today:
7-minute workout (via NYT) that is very efficient in that it works all the muscle groups (the idea being that it is an effective minimum dose): https://archive.nytimes.com/well.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/05/09/the-scientific-7-minute-workout/
Apparently, someone made a whole list of fake sales notification plugins for websites. I mean sad but thanks? https://www.gomahamaya.com/best-social-proof-fomo-marketing-plugins/
