Have you hit the limits of what you can do on your own with freely available software on your Reels and TIkToks? Want to know what goes into making those professional social media video edits you've seen? Then this hands-on class is for you!

You'll have some pre-work (because since this is an editing class, we have to have something to edit besides the stock footage we'll practice with) but all that's needed is a computer with a browser (though downloading the desktop version of Capcut to your computer will allow for more options).

Here's what we'll cover:

  • color grading (how to and limits of Capcut)
  • keyframes and masking (how to and limits of Capcut)
  • speed ramping
  • sound design (how to and limits of Capcut)
  • basic animation/effects
  • transitions
  • lots of examples of social media videos and analyzing what makes it ? and how you can implement these ideas yourself

Recommended: At least ten hours of editing experience in Capcut (either on Capcut.com or the desktop version of the software). If you aren't familiar with the basics of Capcut, this class will feel overwhelming and you will hate it.
