In the most recent hearing in the State of Texas case against Brittany Dawn, a fitness influencer allegedly conned hundreds (or more) into buying custom fitness plans that she did not customize, among other undelivered promises. When her defense said she was typing in data customer by customer and said she couldn’t get accurate records because she couldn’t get into her Paypal account, I practically screamed and decided to make this video showing that not only is the internet forever but eCommerce sales data is kept in MULTIPLE locations that are easy to export. Thanks to Reddit for your help in making sure I had the correct link and there weren’t others to explore.

When a fitness influencer rips hundreds (or more) of people off and then pivots hard to Christian content, it’s interesting.
But it’s ridiculous when the state of Texas pursues charges, and she stalls by saying she has to *individually type* records of her online sales from a website.

In her last hearing, the judge gave her a little more time past the 5 months she’s been given to gather this data. We know this is BS, but here’s a video of all the technical reasons why this is BS. This one was fun, and if the state of Texas finds this helpful, great.

And to be super clear, I have no dog in this fight. I am not a former customer or even knew who this person was before this whole thing. But I don’t think it’s fair to have people buy something, not deliver on the product, and not refund them on a fundamental level.

Hearing last month where the judge gave her a deadline to provide records and where her defense says she can’t provide them because she can’t log into her Paypal account: https://youtu.be/vv4zl8hz6k8 (Yeah, insane, right?)
