When Carla Tanguay was a kid, she wanted to be a writer. This was mostly because she was afraid of running out of books to read. She ended up following a career in her other passion- music. Carla has an undergraduate degree in Music Therapy from the College of Wooster and a Master of Arts from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. Carla currently owns and operates Modulations Therapies, where she helps clients achieve their health, education, and wellness goals using music.
Before opening her private practice, Carla worked for 13 years as a music therapist and then manager in both large and small healthcare organizations. She has been a featured speaker at national conferences, medical schools, and healthcare organizations and has published research in peer-reviewed journals. Carla has extensive experience in non-profit management, program development, grant writing, marketing niche services, and online content creation. Her background in therapy helps her listen deeply to client needs and work with them to develop and implement strategies to meet their goals.
When not musiking or writing, you’ll likely find Carla hiking around MDI, adventuring throughout the world, or tending to her own piece of paradise in Somesville.
